This shot is from the fall of 2019, the "Hunters Moon". I arrived at the location early, like 2 hours early, and yet the place was packed with photographers. Being stubborn I climbed down onto the break wall and wedged myself down there. It was quite the wait and it was definitely worth it. I can still remember someone saying "There it is! Its rising behind the Justice Center". Shooting the moon along with a foreground and background can be tricky. I really think the conditions and just plain old luck come into play sometimes. Out of some pretty cool shots, this one is my favorite.
The paper we use : “Big Bend Baryta offers all of the rich tonality, depth, and feel of a traditional darkroom print. The paper has a elegantly smooth finish and subtle reflectivity. Big Bend has a pleasant neutral white tone imparted by a 100% barium sulphate (baryta) layer. Baryta is the "old school" way of whitening paper and it adds natural richness to portraits and landscapes. Black & White images benefit from Big Bend's deep blacks and exceptional contrast. Use this paper for your final product to surpass gallery and museum expectations.”
Sizes 11x14 and 16x20 prints have a very thin, white, fine art border on the edges for better handling and matting purposes. We print on professional equipment and use a heavy, satin finish paper for deep, rich colors and sharp.
Canvases come from a 3rd party manufacturer that state; “our handmade canvas prints are manufactured in-house and crafted using state-of-the-art technology. We source the wood for our frames from eco-friendly pine forests to ensure sustainability. We use choice, poly-cotton canvas, which means we can print a sharp image that will continue to look vibrant for years to come. Our state-of-the-art technology uses latex inks with UV protection which do not fade, bleed, or degenerate into dull tones. Lastly, all of our canvases have a solid backing to ensure they never sag and will last a lifetime.“ Please allow up to 14 business days for Canvas Prints to arrive.
